DNA Extraction Example:
Below is a typical example of how DNA
is extracted from soybean seed. Bulk seed is split to
get a representative sample, and then ground. DNA is
extracted from the seed by using DNA extraction buffers.
Often times DNA needs further clean up to obtain the
quality needed for PCR. During RealTime®
PCR the results will appear as the PCR process progresses.
During regular PCR the DNA is "run out" on
agarose gel and stained with a DNA fluorescent dye.
